Black Alder Cone (10g, 20g)

✔ The biofilm that grows on cones and leaves is food for shrimp and other grazers.
✔ Black alder cones (compared to speckled alder or casuarina) are richer in tannins.
✔ Tannins are desirable in soft water and blackwater aquariums and are known to promote natural behaviours including breeding, and have antibiotic properties. 
Add 3 cones per 10 gallons to increase tannin concentration.
Replace when tannins are reduced or cones decompose.
Dehydrated weight: 10g and 20g.
